Space Rock exclusive. In the 1980s, both Here & Now and Solstice were virtually ignored by the music biz mainstream but separately they thrilled sell-out audiences throughout Britain and Europe. Here & Now found relative fame with Daevid Allen as Planet Gong and went on to hold the house record for selling out five consecutive nights at London’s Marquee Club. Solstice were known for their soaring violin and guitar weaving around delicately passionate female vocals, underpinned by driving rhythmic complexity. Both attracted huge audiences and headlined alternative festivals like Stonehenge and Windsor. Together for one night only in 2010. |
